Overview

ClearAudio ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our audio processing service at clearaudio.app.

Information We Collect

Audio Files

When you upload audio or video files for processing, we temporarily store them to perform the audio separation. Files are processed using Meta's SAM-Audio model and are automatically deleted after processing is complete or within 24 hours, whichever comes first.

Account Information

If you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes. We use magic link authentication via Resend and optionally Google OAuth for sign-in.

Usage Data

We use Vercel Analytics for basic site statistics. If you allow optional tracking, we also use PostHog to understand which parts of the product are useful and where people get stuck. To prevent abuse of the signed-out preview, we store a one-way technical identifier derived from network and browser information. We do not store the underlying network address in the preview record.

Optional Advertising Measurement

If you choose Allow, we may store campaign tags and advertising click identifiers from Google or Meta for up to 90 days. This lets us understand which ads lead to a successful checkout. Google and Meta tracking scripts are not loaded unless you allow optional tracking. You can change your choice at any time using the Privacy choices link in the app.

How We Use Your Information

• To process your audio files and provide the separation service
• To authenticate your account and maintain your session
• To improve our service based on anonymous usage patterns
• To measure which pages and ads lead to product use or purchases, when you allow optional tracking
• To communicate with you about your account if needed

Data Storage & Security

Audio files are temporarily stored using Vercel Blob storage. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Our infrastructure runs on Vercel and Modal, both of which maintain robust security measures.

We use the following third-party services:

• Vercel — Hosting and blob storage
• Modal — GPU compute for audio processing
• Neon — PostgreSQL database for authentication and preview abuse prevention
• Resend — Email delivery for magic links
• Google — Optional OAuth sign-in
• Stripe — Subscription checkout and payment processing
• PostHog — Product analytics when optional tracking is allowed
• Google Ads — Advertising measurement when optional tracking is allowed
• Meta — Advertising measurement when optional tracking is allowed

Your Rights

You have the right to request deletion of your account and any associated data. Since audio files are automatically deleted after processing, there is typically no persistent audio data to delete.
