ClearAudio is a Joinlist product available at clearaudio.app. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have when using ClearAudio.
For privacy questions or requests, email support@clearaudio.app.
When you use ClearAudio, we process the audio or video you upload, the description of what you want to keep or remove, your selected processing settings, and the resulting separated audio. We also record details such as file size, duration, quality settings, and whether processing completed successfully.
If you create an account, we collect your email address and the account and session information needed to sign you in. Email sign-in uses a one-time verification code. If you use Google sign-in, we receive the basic profile information Google provides, such as your name, email address, and profile image.
Our payment provider processes subscription and one-time pass payments. We keep the payment and subscription references needed to activate purchases, maintain your plan, prevent duplicate fulfilment, and support billing queries. ClearAudio does not receive or store your full card number.
We record product events needed to operate and improve ClearAudio, such as sign-up, processing, feature access, errors, usage limits, upgrades, and purchases. Account sessions may include an IP address and browser information. We also use limited device and network information to enforce signed-out preview limits and prevent abuse.
We collect basic aggregate site statistics and operational product events. Optional browser analytics, campaign attribution, and Google or Meta advertising measurement are enabled only when you select Accept in our cookie notice.
When optional analytics are accepted, we may record how you interact with a result, such as playing, pausing, seeking, comparing tracks, or requesting a download. These events use an opaque result reference and do not contain your recording, prompt, result links, or email.
If accepted, we may store campaign tags and Google or Meta click identifiers for up to 90 days. When a purchase completes, Google may receive a protected version of your account email for conversion matching. Meta may receive purchase details, campaign identifiers, and a protected account identifier for the same purpose. We do not use this choice to grant Google ad-personalisation consent.
We rely on performance of our contract when processing is necessary to provide ClearAudio or fulfil a purchase; legitimate interests for security, abuse prevention, support, and service improvement; consent for optional browser analytics and advertising measurement; and legal obligations where we must retain transaction or compliance records.
We share information only as needed with providers that support:
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on contractual and other safeguards used by those providers for international transfers.
Uploaded media is shared with our processing providers and stored with generated results. For signed-in users, cleaning records and their media are retained so previous results and usage can be provided. Successful signed-out preview media and results are scheduled for deletion after two hours.
Generated result pages use unlisted links that ClearAudio does not publish in a public directory. Anyone who receives the link may be able to open the page and its media. Do not share a result link with someone who should not have access to the recording.
When processing fails, we may keep an encrypted diagnostic copy of the prompt, model input, failed outputs, and technical measurements for up to seven days so we can reproduce and fix the failure. This diagnostic content is restricted to ClearAudio support tooling and is not sent to advertising or browser analytics services.
On a completed result page, you can choose to share that cleaning for quality review. If you opt in, an authorised ClearAudio team member may listen to the original, kept, and removed tracks and review the prompt and processing settings to assess how well the result worked. The review tool does not show your email or profile information, and this content is not sent to advertising or browser analytics services.
For a signed-out preview, ClearAudio creates the review copy only after you choose to share it. The copy and its request details are encrypted and scheduled for deletion after seven days. A withdrawal control is shown in the same browser after sharing.
If optional analytics were already accepted, the encrypted review context may also include the campaign, search term, and landing page connected to the run. It does not include advertising click identifiers.
Account records are retained while your account remains active. Cleaning records, media, and generated results are currently retained so results can remain available; we do not promise automatic deletion after a fixed period. Successful signed-out preview media is scheduled for deletion after two hours. Encrypted failed-processing diagnostics and signed-out quality-review copies are automatically scheduled for deletion after seven days. Purchase and transaction records may be kept longer where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. Third-party providers may keep their own records under their retention policies.
You can request account, media, or result deletion at support@clearaudio.app.
You can decline optional measurement without losing access to ClearAudio and change your choice at any time using the Privacy choices link in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain uses.
You can withdraw a cleaning from optional quality review from its result page. For a signed-out preview, withdrawing deletes the encrypted review copy and any saved quality label. For a signed-in cleaning, withdrawing stops it from appearing in the review queue and removes its saved quality label.
Email requests to support@clearaudio.app. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
We use access controls, signed sessions, limited-lifetime sign-in codes, and service-provider security controls to protect information. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy as ClearAudio changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. If an optional measurement use changes materially, we will ask for consent again.
